Last day/week of classes: Monday, May 18th (last Monday) AND Tuesday, May 26th – May 30st 

Dress Rehearsal/Pictures, Charity Showcase, and Recital location: 

Elkhorn North High School - Address: 17800 George Miller Pkwy, Omaha, NE 68116 

Recital Day: Saturday, June 6th

On recital day, please arrive at the venue NO EARLIER than 30 minutes before your show time. Dancers should follow the “Dressing Rooms” signs to their designated dressing room area. If you have a Tinker Tot, 3-year-old, or 4-year-old, please follow those dressing rooms signs as they will have a separate designated dressing room. The boys’ dressing area is in the restroom that is in the hallway closest to the auditorium. Each dancer will need to be checked in AND checked out after the show is over. Parents who have a Tinker Tot, 3-year-old, and/or 4-year-old should take them to their designated dressing area 10 minutes before showtime. *Parents/Guardians of younger dancers will receive a note card with their dancer’s name on it, and to be handed back in when the dancer gets checked out. 

All dancers, including littles, will stay backstage with our staff during their show. Staff will ensure costume and shoe changes if needed.  

Please have dancers bring their dance bags (labeled) with their recital T-shirt (labeled). Dancers will wear their recital T-shirts over their costumes for the finale at the end of the show.  

Tickets:

Our dance recital is FREE with open seating.  

Seating: 

Seating has first come, first serve. Families may stand in line to wait until the doors open to get their seats. 

Doors open 30 minutes before showtime. 

Recording:

All recital shows and charity showcase will be professionally recorded. All families will receive ALL links to each show. Personal recording will NOT be allowed at any of the performances. Please be courteous to others and respect this rule.

Costumes & Accessories: 

Every costume requires a specific color and style of shoes and tights. Please refer to your costume check list that is attached to your dancer’s costume. All dancers will need to bring their dance bags (labeled) to the recital. All dancers will need to bring their recital T-shirts (labeled) in their dance bag.

Female Dancers – Hair & Makeup: 

Hair – Please refer to their costume check list for specific hair styles. Hair gel, hair spray, bobby pins, and hairnets (for buns) are essential to make sure hair is secure and does not fall out while they are dancing. If your hair is too short to fit into a bun, please wear it half up/half down with curls. Hair should be very neat and tidy. Bangs should be curled and sprayed or pulled back into their specific hairstyle.  

Makeup – ALL female dancers, even the littles, need to wear makeup. This includes earth tone eyeshadow, waterproof mascara, rose color blush, and plum color lip stain. Please keep in mind, the stage lights are very bright and without makeup, faces become washed out from afar and through photography/videography. 

Finale Rehearsal: 

The finale rehearsal is Sunday, May 31st at Kitty Lee. All Itty Bitty Movers do not need to be here this day. Dancers can wear any street clothing with ballet, jazz, or tennis shoes. No parents will be allowed to stay and watch. All staff will be present to help with their classes. Schedule is as follows: 

Saturday 11am show: 12:00 - 12:20pm finale rehearsal

Saturday 1:30pm show: 12:50 - 1:10pm finale rehearsal

Saturday 4:00pm show: 1:40 – 2:00pm finale rehearsal

Saturday 6:30pm show: 2:30 – 2:50pm finale rehearsal

Dress Rehearsal (Tuesday, June 2nd and/or Wednesday, June 3rd):

Dress rehearsals are at Elkhorn North High School. Please make sure you arrive 45 minutes ahead of your scheduled time. WE WILL RUN AHEAD OF SCHEDULE. All dancers must come fully ready with hair, makeup, and first costume on. Do not forget their dance shoes!  

All families and dancers will sit in the auditorium until their class gets called up on stage to rehearse. If you need to change, the dressing rooms will be available. This will be a great time to get familiar with where your dancer will need to be during recital 😊

Pictures and videotaping during dress rehearsals are permitted.  

Food & drinks will be available for purchase but are NOT allowed in the auditorium.  

Picture Day: 

Recital pictures will be held during dress rehearsals at Elkhorn North High School. All dancers will take a class photo and an individual photo. Deyo’s Photography will send links via email when pictures are ready to view/purchase. You are NOT obligated to purchase pictures. If you miss pictures at dress rehearsal, please contact Deyo’s to schedule a time to go in for individual pictures.
